Poems from the
Inside
Seek
the light of day . . .
stimulus distillery
fermented
environment
pregnant with no meaning
seeking rhyme or reason
where there is none
but hostility
intent
intended
ambiguity
Shards of vacuum
sharp as glass
slice through flesh to bone.
screaming
dreaming
daylight drone
Cardinal:
bird, red
Red:
blood, bird
Bird:
no, sin
THESCREAMINGSINOFCARDINALS
ISTHEYDIE.
do not ask wy.
do not cy.
y.
sharp barks of laughter
short and stabbing
jab the air
upon the floor
a brain in pieces:
pacing
barking

We have it within our power
to produce an indistinguishable counterfeit
to the appearance of randomness
as it does appear to us in nature.
The only problem is
that such productions are no fun,
unless you can tell someone;
and in the telling,
to watch them slowly die by the telling . . .
to die as if by ten thousand slender cuts
with a shard of glass . . .
